ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) POLICY &
ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

IMPORTANT NOTICE

This Artificial Intelligence Policy (“AI Policy”) governs the use of artificial intelligence systems, machine
learning tools, generative models, automation systems, and any related technologies (“AI Systems”) on or in connection with the GUMBAE platform.
This Policy applies to all users, including clients, freelancers, agencies, contractors, and managed-service personnel.
By using GUMBAE, you agree to comply with this AI Policy in full.

1 — PURPOSE AND SCOPE

1.1 Purpose

GUMBAE permits the use of AI Systems in certain services and workflows. However, AI usage introduces risks relating to:

  • intellectual property infringement
  • data privacy violations
  • misinformation or hallucination errors
  • unauthorized data training
  • regulatory non-compliance
  • client confidentiality breaches

This Policy establishes safeguards governing AI usage across the platform.

1.2 Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • all AI-assisted work performed on GUMBAE
  • all AI-generated outputs submitted via the platform
  • all datasets, prompts, annotations, and training materials
  • all managed-service and marketplace transactions

2 — DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENT

2.1 Mandatory Disclosure

Users must clearly disclose when AI Systems are used in:

  • content creation
  • design generation
  • code development
  • writing or translation
  • data annotation
  • voiceover synthesis
  • analytics or decision-making assistance

2.2 Failure to Disclose

Failure to disclose AI usage may result in:

  • suspension
  • termination
  • withholding of payment
  • permanent platform ban
  • legal liability

3 — PERMITTED AI USE

  • AI Systems may be used where:
  • explicitly allowed by the client
  • permitted by project instructions
  • authorized by GUMBAE
  • compliant with applicable law

Permitted uses include:

  • drafting assistance
  • ideation and brainstorming
  • translation support
  • code suggestions
  • data classification (non-sensitive)
  • formatting and editing

4 — PROHIBITED AI USE

Users may NOT use AI Systems to:

4.1 Confidential Data Misuse

  • upload confidential GUMBAE or client data into unauthorized AI tools
  • train external AI models using platform data
  • expose proprietary datasets or prompts

4.2 Illegal or Harmful Outputs

  • generate illegal content
  • create fraudulent documents
  • impersonate individuals
  • produce deceptive or misleading content
  • generate deepfakes without consent

4.3 Regulated Domain Violations

  • medical diagnosis or treatment advice
  • legal advice or representation
  • financial investment recommendations where restricted
  • unsafe security or engineering instructions

4.4 Data Scraping or Model Training Abuse

  • use platform data for model training outside authorized scope
  • extract datasets for external commercialization
  • reverse engineer GUMBAE systems or datasets

5 — DATA OWNERSHIP AND TRAINING RESTRICTIONS

5.1 No Unauthorized Training Rights

Users are strictly prohibited from using:

  • GUMBAE data
  • client data
  • task data
  • outputs or annotations
  • platform interactions

to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI System outside authorized GUMBAE-approved workflows.

5.2 Platform Protection

  • All such data is deemed:
  • Confidential Information
  • proprietary material
  • protected business data

under GUMBAE’s Confidentiality Agreement and Terms of Use.

6 — AI OUTPUT RESPONSIBILITY

6.1 Full User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for:

  • accuracy of AI-generated content
  • legal compliance of outputs
  • copyright compliance
  • data privacy compliance
  • final human review and verification

6.2 No Liability for AI Outputs

GUMBAE does not guarantee:

  • accuracy
  • originality
  • non-infringement
  • reliability
  • fitness for purpose of any AI-generated content.

7 — CLIENT CONTROL OVER AI USE

7.1 Client Instructions Prevail

Where a client provides instructions regarding AI use:

  • such instructions must be followed strictly
  • including restrictions or prohibitions

7.2 Override Right

GUMBAE reserves the right to:

  • prohibit AI usage regardless of client permission
  • restrict AI tools for specific categories
  • enforce stricter internal safeguards

8 — HIGH-RISK AI APPLICATIONS

AI use is strictly restricted or prohibited in:

  • healthcare-related services
  • childcare or elder care decision-making
  • security-related assessments
  • legal document drafting requiring professional judgment
  • financial investment recommendations
  • autonomous decision-making affecting physical safety

9 — AI TRANSPARENCY REQUIREMENTS

Where applicable, users must:

  • label AI-generated content
  • disclose hybrid human-AI workflows
  • identify edited or synthetic outputs
  • maintain audit trails when requested

GUMBAE may require verification logs or proof of process.

10 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND AI OUTPUTS

10.1 Ownership Rule

Ownership of AI-assisted outputs depends on:

  • client agreement
  • project terms
  • managed-service agreements
  • GUMBAE platform rules

10.2 No Independent AI Ownership Claim

Users may not claim ownership over:

  • raw AI outputs generated using platform data
  • proprietary datasets used in training tasks
  • GUMBAE-controlled model evaluation results

11 — SECURITY AND DATA PROTECTION

Users must not:

  • input sensitive personal data into unauthorized AI tools
  • expose client confidential information to external systems
  • bypass platform security controls

Users must follow all applicable data protection laws, including:

  • Nigeria Data Protection Act
  • GDPR (where applicable)
  • other applicable jurisdictional privacy laws

12 — MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT

GUMBAE reserves the right to:

  • monitor AI usage on the platform
  • audit workflows involving AI Systems
  • request disclosure of AI tools used
  • investigate suspected violations
  • suspend accounts for non-compliance

13 — LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

Users agree to indemnify GUMBAE against all claims arising from:

  • misuse of AI Systems
  • infringement of intellectual property
  • violation of privacy laws
  • unauthorized data training
  • harmful or illegal AI outputs
  • regulatory breaches

14 — TERMINATION AND SANCTIONS

Violations of this AI Policy may result in:

  • immediate suspension
  • permanent account termination
  • withholding of payments
  • legal action
  • reporting to authorities where required
